Flamur Radoniqi
Dr. Adriana Fishta-Bejko
Dr. Adriana Fishta-Bejko is a highly accomplished intellectual in the field of education and teaching. Originally from Albania, Dr. Bejko arrived in Canada in 1999, bringing with her 20 years of teaching experience in various countries, including Albania, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Upon arriving to Canada, she completed her Doctor of Education degree at the University of Calgary, where she specialized in Educational Contexts and Brain-Based Learning. Her dissertation, titled A LEAP of Faith: Transforming English Language Learning at a Canadian University 1994-2006 set the foundations for her involvement in supporting immigrant children and youth in learning English while navigating an entirely new culture. Among other achievements, she was the Head of the International Relations at Point Loma University, San Diego, California, Director of the ESL Institute at the Faculty of Education, at Trinity Western University and University of Calgary. In 2007, she was appointed director of the Diverse Learning division within the Calgary Board of Education. She held that position until 2009 and then again from 2012 to 2018, when she also retired.
Since retiring in June 2018, Dr. Bejko has been appointed Chair of the School Board at the Albanian Language School offered by the Albanian-Canadian Association of Calgary. She is in charge of developing curriculum, assessment tools, and lesson plans that cater to 35 Albanian-Canadian students, who are interested in learning Albanian and who have varying levels of Albanian speaking and understanding skills.
Dr. Fishta Bejko is elected by the Parliament of Albania as the secretary of the Coordinating Council of Diaspora and is awarded the title of the “Albanian Nation’s Ambassador”, she is a Laurate of a number of titles “Who is Who” USA, “Lifetime Achievement” Canada, Honorary Member of Albanian Associations in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba.
Art Agolli
Art Agolli is a successful serial entrepreneur. He has been involved with several successful energy companies as a founder and executive. Apart from energy Mr. Agolli a champion of innovation, disruptive technologies and improvement of Canadian healthcare and higher education. Mr. Agolli is an important advocator for a more efficient and innovative healthcare in Alberta.
Mr. Agolli founded Equity Health Services, a healthcare diagnostic and solution provider company during the Covid pandemic. The company played an important role during the Covid pandemic in Canada and internationally. Currently, Mr. Agolli is the lead director of Westgate
Energy.
Prior, Mr. Agolli was a business development executive with Koch Industries Inc, the largest privately held company in North America. While at Koch Mr. Agolli worked in government and public affairs in Washington DC and international M&A in London. Prior, Mr. Agolli was a Koch Fellow at Center for Market Processes and a visiting scholar at several public policy think tanks in DC such as Atlas Economic Research Foundation and Institute for Humane Studies.
He started his career at the World Bank in Washington DC. While at the World Bank Mr. Agolli worked with governments around the world in areas of health and social welfare, education and free market reforms. Mr. Agolli’s research study “The Social Capital – The Case of Albania” was published in the World Bank Economic Journal. This work was closely related to Robert Putnam’s book “Making Democracy Work” which has become a classic textbook in many universities around the world.
Mr. Agolli received a Bachelor’s in International Relations and Master`s Degree in Management from Grand Valley State University in Michigan, USA. Mr. Agolli is quite active in the community supporting various philanthropic causes. He currently serves as director of the Canadian Cancer Theranostic Foundation, which he and his wife, Dr Alda Aleksi founded. He is also the founder and Director of Canadian Albanian Development Foundation and also serves in the Advisory Board of Schulic School of Engineering (University of Calgary). Mr. Agolli is married to Dr. Alda Aleksi. Dr. Aleksi is a medical oncologist in Calgary. They have two children and live in Calgary, Alberta.
Flamur Radoniqi
Flamur Radoniqi is a Senior Leader in the Financial Industry, serving as Director of Payments Optimization & Effectiveness at ATB Financial, with focus on Cards, payments systems' infrastructure, strategy and product development; vendor management, internal and external audit, and financial forensics, fraud prevention strategies and recovery. Currently leading the Cards operations team, Flamur oversees a team of 30+ professionals responsible for seamless money movements and Client Experience.
Before the current role, Flamur led the Insights and Analytics team, having championed data migration to cloud and development of insights and various analysis. With over 21 years of experience in the Financial Industry Flamur has created an undisputed professional profile as a trusted and experienced advisor to the SLT at ATB Financial.
Flamur is currently attending a Leadership program at the University of Alberta to complete the academic requirements for an executive role within ATB Financial.
Dr. Alda Alexi
Dr. Aleksi is a physician-scientist with cross-disciplinary expertise in cardiology, oncology, and molecular imaging. She began her career in Europe, earning an MD and board certification in Cardiology, alongside postgraduate training in advanced cardiac imaging and a Master of Clinical Sciences. Her early focus on non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics laid the foundation for her translational research interests.
Upon relocating to Canada, Dr. Aleksi completed residency training in Internal Medicine and subspecialty training in Medical Oncology at the University of Calgary, obtaining dual board certifications (FRCPC). She pursued further clinical fellowships in Thoracic and Neuroendocrine Tumors and in Theranostics and Cardio-Oncology, uniquely positioning her at the intersection of cancer care and molecular imaging.Currently a Medical Oncologist at the Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Cumming School of Medicine, Dr. Aleksi specializes in neuroendocrine and endocrine tumors. She leads one of Alberta’s largest NET/ET clinical programs, with a focus on integrating theranostic approaches—such as peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) and radioligand-based diagnostics—into personalized oncology.
Dr. Aleksi is Founder and President of the Canadian Cancer Theranostics Foundation and Program Lead for Calgary’s NET Theranostics initiative. She has established key provincial infrastructure, including Alberta’s first NET registry, patient’s advocacy committee, and public awareness campaigns. A contributor to national guidelines and RLT working groups, she is a recognized leader in cancer theranostics. Her current research focuses on outcomes of PRRT in advanced GEP-NETs, building on earlier work in endothelial cardio-vascular biology. A published author and research grant recipient, she actively bridges clinical care with translational innovation in precision oncology.
Ilir Kuqi
Ilir Kuqi is a seasoned executive in the automotive industry, currently serving as a Director at Enterprise Fleet Management, where he leads a high-performing team of consultants and oversees operations across the Central Canada region. His strategic leadership and deep industry expertise have made him a trusted advisor to businesses seeking innovative and cost-effective fleet solutions.
Ilir’s impact extends well beyond the corporate sphere. He is a former President of the Albanian Canadian Association of Calgary, where he fostered cultural unity and community engagement, and a current Board of Directors for Calgary Meals on Wheels, where he helps guide the organization’s mission to support vulnerable Calgarians. He remains an active member of the Meals on Wheels board and continues to contribute meaningfully to numerous nonprofit initiatives across the region.
A passionate advocate for children's health, Ilir also participates in the Great Cycle Challenge Canada, raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer research through personal cycling challenges.
